Stunning pictures show shipwreck after dramatic rescue in Cork

These pictures show a boat washed up after a dramatic rescue in Co Cork.

Three fishermen were rescued after they got into trouble when their trawler hit rocks off Kinsale Harbour at about 6.10pm on Sunday evening.

The Sean Anthony started to take in water and the RNLI had to be called.

Meanwhile, a video posted online by the RNLI shows the dramatic rescue.

RNLI crew Nick Searls, Jim Grennan and Matthew Teehan were at the scene within five minutes and all three men were safely brought to the shore.


 The fishermen, who are Portugese nationals, are said to be shaken but escaped uninjured.

The rescue happened as stormy conditions battered the south and southwest of the country and Met Eireann were forced to issue an Orange weather warning.
