Brian Mosbaugh, 31, from Texas, said: ‘The act of human flight is mind-blowing on its own, however flying above Shipwreck Beach was certainly in my top five favourite exits experienced as a BASE jumper.
‘I’m more accustomed to flying above big mountain terrain or desert canyons, so having the exciting visual of free falling into a Mediterranean paradise of white sand beaches and turquoise transparent waters was a real treat.

‘There’s always a sense of real adventure ahead when you’re preparing to run off a cliff edge.
‘Sometimes I experience what could be described as ‘butterflies’ in my chest moments before a jump, but typically once my parachute is strapped to my back and I’ve gone through my standard safety checks I’m just really happy and excited to go.
‘The thrill of watching your feet pound with force towards the edge of a cliff, followed by the earth disappearing from underneath you, is a truly unique experience.’
